Dogs, cats and impala.
Blog — By shrek on November 14, 2012 11:19 pmBeen lucky enough to see all sorts of fantastic wildlife over the past few weeks but the leopard has hitherto remained characteristically elusive – until today.
With the exception of myself the group went for a game viewing session on the river this morning. I chose to go for a land-based game drive and wow am I pleased I did. I joined two other guests and the guide and before long we had found a pack of 22 wild dogs. Having sat with them for around 20 mins we drove for around ten mins before turning a corner to be confronted by a beautiful female leopard in the process of ending the life of an adult impala. As a big fan of the wild dogs and a completely obsessed fan of the big cats, it was such a treat and I can only hope that the pictures convey something of what I was so privileged to witness.
