Day Nineteen – Heart of Zululand
Blog — By Buspass on October 10, 2012 5:08 pmMost of our riding today has been deep in Zululand.
This is real rural Africa. Endless groups of tiny houses or shacks dot the landscape.
Cattle and goats roam freely. There are no fences so one must drive at one’s peril.
Sadly the little towns and hamlets are scruffy and laden with litter. That said the people are cheery, smiling and always offer a wave.
The children invariably get excited by the procession of motorbikes and line the road waving as we go by.
The only blot on the Landscape today was another fall. Nick took a bang to his leg, but otherwise fine, and the bike is quite badly damaged.
We are providing too much work to the BMW garages en route.
We are now over 3000 kilometres of riding. J
