Day 32 – Clutch Triumph
Blog, Photos — By Buspass on October 23, 2012 10:40 amA splendid accomplishment for Sam and Tony. They managed to replace the clutch plates on Alessia’s bike…..not a trivial task in deepest Mozambique. The old ones were completely worn out.
And then , unlike yesterday, we did have a very simple pleasant ride over 200k.
We had coffee in one of the local villages and you can see Stelios chatting to the locals in the photo.
We finished with a little sand riding to test our mettle and then we came across a small wooden school with a group of around 30 children milling about. So we stopped, blew up a football, and challenged the locals. We had a most energetic game for half an hour and then donated the football to the head teacher.
We are now nestled just by a most fabulous beach on the Mozambique coast.
This beach seems to run the entire length of the country maybe 2000 kilometres….it cannot be bettered. J
