Day Three
Blog, Photos — By Buspass on September 24, 2012 6:31 pmA run along the shore East of Hermanus (Walker Bay) kicked off the day with countless Southern Right whales surfacing just below us, some on their backs in the kelp. And the afternoon in an ecological zone called Fynbos which has more flowering plants than the Amazon….over 9000 species. A Remarkable day.
Update to post: All 8 boys went for a ride in the late afternoon and hit sand, mud and even water on trails through the mountains. Everyone crashed and only 5 returned intact. 2 broken bikes (gearbox/clutch) and it was only a practice day!
No worries today Imelda, Gobby thrashed his own bike….a bit of Fawlty Towers, he was heard swearing at his bike on numerous occasions.
Biggles and Shrek off to the garage tomorrow.
