D96…..Solitary.
Blog — By Buspass on December 27, 2012 8:02 amI shall continue this blog until 100 is chalked up, but it will be a little less adventurous than some I must confess.
It is difficult to write passionately about our delicious cappucinos on the seafront at Camps Bay this morning. But we did bike down in sneakers and t-shirts in blazing sunshine. Naughty but nice.
And then a little stroll up the 1000 metres to Table Mountain. The reward was a stunning view of the whole Cape and Cape Town itself. Robben Island was clearly visible out in the bay. A lovely spot but 27 years is a long time in one place. Nelson of course.
Icecream has never tasted as good as it did after this rather hot, steep ascent. Julia, who climbed at least half the mountain, demolished her magnum in minutes. Over and out. J
