Day 30 – Bruised ribs.
Blog — By Gobby on October 21, 2012 9:06 amGood mobile signal today, but no internet, so I’m making the most of it……!!
I had an unfortunate mishap yesterday on the road to Maputo. In trying to avoid a car on the wrong side of the dirt road, I lost an argument with a sand bank and bashed my ribs. Very bruised and sore, I’m having a day off today in the land cruiser…..no HTFU award, as it’s not given for accidents!
There was no HTFU yesterday, as it was our hardest day’s riding so far and everyone did amazingly well over very difficult terrain.
It was a real baptism of fire for Imelda, Sleazy Rider and Stelios. 10 hours riding, mostly on sand and dirt with lots of surface water, as there has been torrential rain in southern Mozambique.
